El número de víctimas fatales por consumo de clerén adulterado aumentó a cinco personas, hecho ocurrido en el sector Brisas del Este, en Santo Domingo Este.
Los fallecidos fueron identificados como Luis Richardson, Félix Beltré, Odalis Villegas, Fermín Sánchez y Ambiorix Sánchez. Estos dos últimos eran padre e hijo, según informó el departamento de Relaciones Públicas del hospital Francisco Moscoso Puello, donde fueron llevados.
Uno de estos llegó con vida, pero falleció más tarde, cuando les realizaban asistencias médicas, indicó el centro médico.
Helen Beltré, hermana de uno de los fallecidos, expresó que el grupo compró la bebida donde unos haitianos, y al poco tiempo de estar tomando la bebida, comenzaron a sentirse mal. Uno murió a las 2:00 de la madrugada y el otro a las 3:00 am.
Mientras que Natividad Castillo, madre otros de las víctimas, responsabilizó a los propios fallecidos, ya que a su juicio, la situación que está viviendo el país no es para estar haciendo reuniones y tomar bebidas alcohólicas.
